New Olbas Idents for GMTV

422 South creates new idents for GMTV's “Pick Of The Day”

Agency Bray Leino recently commissioned 422 South to provide animation for x3 10” sponsorship idents, to help support the launch of new Lotus Olbas Tissues.

The campaign features the existing 3D family of Olbas character noses – including mother, father and teenage son. In each ident, a family member is seen in a normal “day to day” situation, using Olbas tissues to help fight off the misery of winter cold symptoms. The key message of each ident is that when the tissues are crushed, the relaxing Olbas vapours are released.

Bray Leino devised the creative concept behind the campaign on behalf of Lotus Tissues and Olbas. Creative Director Tracey Harvey briefed 422 South to use the distinctive 3D style of animation as used in the existing TV commercial, using the palette of corporate oranges and greens which feature elsewhere in the branding, for example in the product packaging and in supporting print material.

Animator Morgan Powell directed the 3 idents and used SoftImage XSI for the entire project.

Debbie Taylor and Maggie Hughes were producers for 422 South.

The idents will run from Monday 15th October in the 7.50 am “Pick Of The Day” slot on GMTV.
