422 South has created the title sequence for new BBC ONE reality series When Will I Be Famous?

422 South Takes Centre Stage

The 6 x 30 minutes series is an observational documentary following students as they tread the boards and follow their vocation at the world famous Sylvia Young Theatre School in London.

Inspired by the film Moulin Rouge, designer Mike Alderson gave the titles a “Parisian Theatre” look, using 2D cut outs of specially shot materials and VT from the series. Then, these images were layered and animated in After Effects – all the action taking place on the “theatre” stage.
