422 Helps Chelsea to Watch Their Rate
422 South has completed the production of a new DRTV commercial for the Chelsea Building Society, working with the Chelsea’s agency, Flourish Direct Marketing Ltd.
The 60” commercial promotes the whole range of mortgage deals on offer from the Chelsea - including fixed rate, cashback and prospect mortgages. The call to action is to ring in for more details and an information pack.
In the commercial, a male presenter (actor James Puddephatt) encourages the viewer to watch their “rate” (as opposed to their “weight”!), as he wanders around a studio featuring a gallery of giant stills portraits of typical mortgage buyers, from “first time” to “buy to let”. To enhance the Chelsea corporate image and branding, a solid red band (top and bottom of frame) was added in post production to give the commercial a themed look.
The commercials were shot on Sony HD tape to give a crisp, clean finish – the DOP/Lighting Cameraman was Chris Maris. Digital fx and on line were completed in Henry. Jason Edwards directed the live action filming at Bristol Film Studios and he also supervised all digital fx and editing. Sound design was also directed by Jason.
The commercial includes a female voice-over from artist Faye Dicker.
Creative Director for Flourish was Tim Sutcliffe.
The commercials were produced by Andrew Zikking, with Debbie Taylor as Executive Producer.
The television campaign first began transmission in October 2006.
