| The Peabody's Travels in the Great Tree of Life Exhibit exhibition
A video installation to feature in a new exhibit on evolution at the Connecticut-based Peabody Museum of Natural History.
422 were approached by US based producer GA Productions to create a series of animations for a new exhibit at the prestigious Peabody Museum of Natural History in Connecticut USA. Amongst the sequences commissioned was an animated representation of a cladogram, or phylogenic tree. The stylised animation shows a sequence of branchings - mirroring the evolutionary process of one species becoming two over time. Special software was written by 422 accurately to replicate the scientifically-correct branching process.
After millions of years - compressed to half a minute of animation - an enormous diversity of living species has emerged.
