02 The Molecule that Made our World. CGI and FX for a documentary on the life story of the oxygen molecule.

Producer John Capener of Production Company Burning Gold, was looking for surprising images to grab the audience's attention. 422's team - led by Art Director Andrew Hunter, came up with a series of animations featuring the molecule itself and the creatures that breathed it.

The surprises come as we encounter physical model of a prehistoric giant dragonfly that suddenly twitches into life in a museum display, and a film crew get that gets caught out while recording a pair of fighting dinosaurs on a shoreline.

Going back even further in time, 422's character animation team also recreated creatures from the famous Burgess Shale fossil deposits of 550 million years ago.
