Orange Flowers Campaign

Animated flowers. 422 were commissioned to produce 3 short promos for Orange sales conferences.

3D photo-real flower sequences were created totally in CGI

Jetflighter approached 422 to create a series of colourful and eye-catching stings to be used at an Orange sales conference, based on timelapse animated flowers.

The brief was to create three photo-real animated flowers, and to show them growing from seed and opening out with a time-lapse photography effect – these were Poppy, Thistle (Sea Holly) and Bird Of Paradise flowers.

The time-lapse flower animation was created in Maya and seamlessly blended with an initial live action shot of the seed being planted. Our animators then had to match the depth of field of this live-action as well as the grading, so that the sequence flowed naturally from beginning to end.

A fast turnaround of a matter of weeks was required for this project and 422 was able to deliver on time for the conference despite this.
